Our customers are our guests at Quay Three. We apply the same care, intuition and attention to our service as we do to our menus. Your experience does not stop at the food and our team are dedicated to ensuring your visit is a memorable one.
Renowned for our cocktails we also have an extensive array of fine wines available to taste with your meal. Finding the right match to your dish truly enhances both your food and the flavour. The main concept behind this is that certain elements, such as textures and flavours in food and wine react differently with each other – finding the right combination is key.
Our wine menu travels across the globe with flavours from America to Europe and beyond. We offer wines both by the glass and the bottle, from red, white to rose and not forgetting our champagne, so we’re positive you’ll be able to find something to suit your taste.
So where do you begin? Well, our team are always on hand to help you decide on the best wine for the dish that you choose, but here’s a few tips to help you out on arrival to your exquisite dining experience.
A favourite for many of our customers is our 7oz fillet steak, coupled with sea salt hand cut chips, roasted tomato, Portobello mushroom and balsamic dressed leaves – sounds mouth-watering right? Why not make sure that palette is sufficiently satisfied by complimenting those meaty flavours with a Cabernet or Shiraz red wine with undertones of berries and fruit, such as our Richmond Ridge Shiraz Cabernet, matching the richness of the dish.
We pride ourselves on providing only the freshest of fish, using locally sourced suppliers. With the marina as our inspiration, we create stunning dishes for you to try with a special seafood selection board. A fresh piece of fish with lemon is best paired with a medium to a heavy bodied white wine such as our Bushranger Chardonnay, but if it’s something like oysters which takes your fancy, then we would recommend one of our champagnes, as the bubbles cleanse the palette of any saltiness and add to other textures and flavours.
When it comes to matching textures, just remember that light food is best paired with a light wine and vice versa. Everyone’s tastes are different and it’s important to always trust your own nose and palette.
We have such a variety of wines to share with you to ensure you receive a dining experience to remember. Don’t hesitate to ask our staff about the pairing of your wine to your dish and we welcome you take a look at our menu before booking your table at www.quaythree.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you soon.
